Well, I think it's about time to gush over Reprise
This album has been on repeat ever since it's arrival, allowing me to really absorb the music, and observe the subtle changes and improvements to the songs... And my conclusion....
I couldn't be happier!
I don't think I quite knew what to expect from this release..... Though, I was quite curious to hear Seth sing these classic song, so I found myself eagerly awaiting it's arrival.
As soon as En Lumière began to play, my heart swelled with excitement and love! After only a few seconds into the first song, I knew that this release would not disappoint!
As the album progressed, I fell deeper in love and happiness, and had to force myself not to sing along so that I could hear the songs~
It was very refreshing to hear these wonderful songs come to life in new ways!
While I love every song on Reprise, Solitude and Je L'aime had me reduced to a puddle of happy tears~
I simply couldn't hold in my emotions when Solitude (a song very precious to me) began to play. I don't believe that I have ever cried over something like this...and I'm sure it may sound foolish that a mere song could produce tears, but this album really had that effect on me....
And Je L'aime....ah..... I did hear this song once before at Sakura Con, but I was simply too excited to be watching Moi dix Mois on stage, that I didn't get to appreciate it properly! I'm so happy that now, I am able to listen to it anytime I wish. This song just spoke to me in a deep way. After listening through it only once, I was somehow able to remember the lyrics, and began to sing along. And now, it seems as if I cannot get the lovely tune out of my mind! (Though, I wouldn't consider this a problem) It is impossible for me to feel any pain or sadness when I hear this song. I know that Je L'aime will be very, very dear to me from this moment on.
After receiving Reprise, I find myself growing even more attached (If that's even possible!) to Mana, and the lovely world that he creates. I ended up sending him a long letter, expressing my feelings, and my gratitude towards him and this release. All in all, I wouldn't change or wish for anything different in Reprise.
It's perfect.
